Data Engineer @ Synechron

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with big data technologies and will work closely with analytics, data science, and business teams to enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines
  
• Build and optimize data workflows using Python and SQL
  
• Work with big data frameworks such as Spark and Hive
  
• Orchestrate and schedule data pipelines using Apache Airflow
  
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance of data systems
  
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams
  
• Troubleshoot and optimize data processing jobs
  

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong experience in data pipeline development
  
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
  
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Hive, and Airflow
  
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed systems
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  
• Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, etc.)
  
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
