Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Java to join our growing quality assurance team. This role is critical in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks within Agile environments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software products.
As a key contributor to the QA function, you will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to embed automation into the development lifecycle. Your work will directly improve release quality, reduce regression cycles, and enhance overall engineering efficiency.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Test Automation & Framework Development
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
- Create and execute automated regression, functional, and integration test cases.
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks using Selenium with TestNG or JUnit.
- Ensure automation coverage across critical business workflows.
CI/CD & Agile Execution
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum sprints, focusing on in-sprint automation.
- Support continuous testing to enable faster and more reliable releases.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Perform multi-browser and cross-platform testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
- Validate fixes and ensure high-quality delivery through regression cycles.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with developers, QA peers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to test planning, estimation, and daily stand-ups.
- Share best practices and continuously improve automation quality and processes.
You Might Be Our Ideal Match If You:
Experience & Core Skills
- Have 35 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
- Possess strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver.
- Have solid Java programming skills.
- Are proficient with TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
- Have experience using Git for version control.
- Are familiar with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.
Testing & Tools Knowledge
- Experience in multi-browser web application testing.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or JBehave.
- Exposure to API testing (REST services).
- Familiarity with Gradle or Maven build tools.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or other modern CI tools.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
