Walk-in || Performance Test Engineer @ Hexaware Technologies

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop performance test strategies, plans, and test scenarios based on business and system requirements.
• Develop and execute performance test scripts using LoadRunner and/or JMeter.
• Perform various types of testing including:
• Load Testing
• Stress Testing
• Endurance/Soak Testing
• Spike Testing
• Analyze test results and provide detailed performance reports, identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements.
• Monitor application performance using tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or similar APM tools.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and resolve performance issues.
• Tune system performance including application, database, and infrastructure levels.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) to integrate performance testing into automation workflows.
• Create and maintain performance testing documentation, scripts, and reusable frameworks.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions to ensure performance best practices are followed.
• Provide capacity planning and scalability recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 69 years of experience in Performance Testing & Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Micro Focus LoadRunner / Performance Center
• Apache JMeter
• Expertise in scripting using:
• C (LoadRunner), Java, or Groovy (JMeter)
• Experience with protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, Web Services (REST/SOAP), JDBC, etc.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies and lifecycle.
• Experience in analyzing server metrics (CPU, memory, disk I/O, network).
• Familiarity with APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL queries, performance tuning concepts).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) performance testing.
• Experience with Gatling, NeoLoad, or other performance tools.
• Scripting experience in Python or Shell scripting.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and performance challenges.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
