The developed product is a leading software system in the Energy domain, covering all aspects of Oil & Gas productionfrom geological exploration to the optimization of ongoing operations. Our technology solution enables geologists and geophysicists to efficiently research, visualize, and interpret large volumes of geological data.You''ll be joining a senior, supportive, and friendly team, committed to delivering high-quality solutions in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support in drilling and completions area to DWP team.
  • Provide an objective assessment of Product Quality
  • Contribute as an active Software Tester on the Team to deliver product stories
  • Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria
  • Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality
  • Contribute during Sprint Planning to ensure all Testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows
  • Define, create and maintain Test environments
  • Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories
  • Verify Development changes have no undesired effect on other, associated areas of Functionality
  • Identify, communicate and document Bugs in a consistent fashion
  • Track Bugs through resolution and implementation
  • Verify Bugs are resolved according to Bug Definition
Skills

Must have

  • Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, Geophysics, Geology or chemical engineering with minimum GPA 7.5 and above
  • Good understanding of upstream applications. (Preferred: EDT Applications)
  • Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including:
  • Well construction drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring
  • Well completions completion designs, well performance analysis,
  • Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, Compass will be an advantage.
  • Comfortable with Agile methodologies
  • Excellent Communication Skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with web applications test automation, API testing, Performance testing, AzureAWS cloud services
  • QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred)
  • Experience with SDLC/STLC processes and complete understanding of various testing types viz Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression and User Acceptance Testing etc.
  • ISTQB foundation level certified (Optional)
  • Well versed with Test Case creation, Defect and Test Management tool (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA)
  • Basic understanding of Framework creation using any of the Automation tool.
