Job Description

Key Skills:

• Automotive body mechanism parts design - Door Hinges, latches, striker, check-link, sunroof, window regulator, wipers
• GD&T, tolerance stack-ups
• CATIA V5 (3D/2D Drawings & Surfacing)
• Supplier management

Key Requirement:

• 3 to 9 years of experience in Automotive body mechanism parts design and development
• Design & release of hinges, latches, strikers, locks, sunroof mechanisms, window regulators, and sealing parts.
• Develop weatherstrips, door seals, glass run channels, roof ditch seals, and perimeter sealing.
• Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and ensure GD&T, DFM/DFA, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Packaging integration with BIW, closures, glass, and trim teams; ensure hinge axis, latch-striker alignment, and sealing compression targets.
• Define and support validation of mechanism performance
• Prepare and review DFMEA, DVP, and PPAP; collaborate with suppliers for feasibility and tooling.
