This is Tanvir from IDEAS Engineering. We are looking for Mechanical Design Engineer
Location : IT Park Chandigarh/ Mohali
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and support engineering projects for our European clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mechanical design, experience with international standards (especially European norms), and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams across time zones.Experience

SW / NX / Catia/ InventorLocation : Mohali , Good communicationKey Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models in compliance with standards (EN, ISO, DIN, ASME etc.).
Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and internal teams to gather requirements, present design concepts, and ensure alignment throughout the development process.
Conduct tolerance analysis, FEA, and material selection for optimized design performance.
Ensure all designs quality
Participate in design reviews and provide technical documentation for production.
Maintain project documentation and report progress to stakeholders regularly.
Skilled in evaluating manufacturing feasibility of components and assemblies
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5-7 years of mechanical design experience, ideally with exposure to European and us clients or standards.
Proficient in one or more major CAD platforms (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor or Creo).
Familiarity with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding etc.).
Strong understanding of GD&T, materials, and mechanical systems.
Experience working with or within European quality and design standards (EN/ISO/DIN/ASME).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, international team environment.
