Role Overview
We are hiring Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, who also excel in SEO-based educational content writing. You will lead the development of conceptually rich, student-friendly, and search-engine-optimized science content for school-level (Grades 1-12) audiences.
This is a critical role that blends deep academic knowledge with content strategy and SEO. You'll work closely with content teams, designers, and SEO analysts to ensure that our science content ranks well and delivers maximum educational value.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Pedagogy
- Research, write, and edit clear, accurate, and engaging science content based on curriculum standards (NCERT, CBSE, ICSE, or State Boards).
- Include exercises, examples, usage contexts, and topic breakdowns.
- Simplify complex scientific ideas with analogies, visuals, and interactive examples.
SEO & Content Optimization
- Identify and target high-performing keywords for science topics.
- Use SEO tools to structure and optimize each content piece for better rankings.
- Work on content clusters, pillar pages, and interlinking strategies.
- Maintain best practices in meta content, headers, readability, and schema markup (if needed).
Collaboration & Workflow
- Coordinate with SEO analysts, content strategists, editors, and curriculum experts.
- Take ownership of your science domains content roadmap and calendar.
- Review and mentor junior writers/content creators (if applicable).
Required Skills & Experience
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech / M.Tech / PhD in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
- Teaching or content development experience in school-level science (612 or competitive exams like NEET/JEE).
Content & SEO Skills
- 4+ years in SEO writing or educational content development.
- Experience in creating content that ranks and drives organic traffic.
- Comfortable using Ahrefs / SEMrush / Surfer SEO / Google Search Console.
Tools & Workflow
- CMS knowledge (WordPress or similar), Google Docs, Grammarly.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Notion, Asana, or Trello.
Content Authenticity & Quality Standards
- Content must be human-created and pedagogically accurate. While AI tools (like ChatGPT or Jasper etc) can be used for ideation or support, final content must not be AI-generated or AI-dependent.
- All content will undergo strict quality checks to ensure accuracy, originality, and compliance with academic standards
Nice to Have
- Video script writing experience.
- Prior experience in EdTech brands like BYJU'S, Vedantu, Toppr, Unacademy, etc.
- Basic understanding of how to use AI tools like ChatGPT/Jasper for content ideation.
