Job Description

This position supports the external customer needs in End User Market by reviewing customer requirements, aligning Howden Products to meet those specifications and then generating high quality and time bound proposals for Centrifugal and Axial Fans for all segments. Responsible for handling technical quires, selection and sizing of equipment, cost make up calculation for the a proposal based on cost input from Howden Business units, negotiation with the client and internally hand over the client agreed contract to contract execution ensuring that the cost, delivery, quality, and specifications are meet What Needs To Be Done Responsible for Proposal Activities for Aftermarket. Spares, Services & Retrofit Proposals along with Annual Rate/Maintenance Contract, Long Term Service Agreements related activities in India, and to meet Sales and Growth objectives for Howden Centrifugal / Axial fans end user market. Receive and handle inquiries from clients or respective RSMs Preparation of clear and definitive technical and commercial proposals in accordance with defined scopes of supply. Ensure that RFQ response time is achieved as per the KPIs with high techno-commercial accuracy Make, prepare, agree, revise and monitor proposals cost make up sheet is reflected in the proposal on each revision Effectively check and control the selection of the equipment which will match the clients expectation and the Howden standards Receive , prepare and agree all techno-commercial queries from clients along with RSMs Effectively check and control the contract with a contract review in accordance to Howden criterias. Co-ordinate the proposal process between Sales, Supply Chain and various internal functional departments and manage responses in line with the proposal schedule and customer requirements. Evaluate competitive bids for equipment in order to provide cost effective solutions Review, in conjunction with various functional departments, enquiry documents and obtain clarifications where required to ensure that company design standards and customer specifications are maintained Attend Technical Clarification Meetings with customers and sub-contractors when required to clarify any technical issues and meet customer needs. Clarify the clients technical issues and manage company/client relationship to ensure the highest level of service. Ensure Company policies, procedures and norms are followed for all proposals activities to ensure the highest level of quality. (SoX compliance) Ensure adherence to HSE standards in compliance with Company policy to ensure safe working environment & report all safety incidents and near misses on a timely basis and maintaining the goal of zero lost time incidents. Ensure the participation of contributing to all development activities within the department and company. Ensure no cost overrun issues due to improper estimation and etc. Check the order thoroughly as per order transfer Checklist and transfer to project department. Coordinating with design and projects departments and ensure the first approval of GA drawing (from customer) on time. Work closely with SCM team & execution team to make a proper budget for the proposals. Work closely with Sales team to produce accurate proposals [budget and firm] and maintain margins considering the Pricing Policy. Accurate data entry into CRM as per the feedback from Sales team / customer along with Installed Base linkage as per the KPIs. Increase effectiveness of the Proposal team by having strong product, service and system knowledge through educational offerings and communications. Continually improve processes and procedures in order to improve customer response time and accuracy of all information through team based approaches and use KPIs to track and measure performance. Create Database of AFM spares/services consisting of: Recommended Spares List for Howdens Installed Base Last Sold History of spares sold Maintain Service Data & upcoming overhaul schedules Support RSMs to achieve Booking Forecast Reliability against Quarterly Committed Forecast. Contribute to the AFM growth strategy together with Sales Manager, Managing Director, Global Howden Aftermarket and Regional Sales Managers. Ensure appropriate reporting on RFQs, Response Time, sales opportunities funnel, sales plans, budgeting, booking forecast, Sales Forecast and KPIs are in place to protect business interests and mitigate risk. What Do You Need To Bring Essential Skills, Knowledge And Behaviours Minimum Bachelors degree in business, Engineering, or other related field Extensive 08 + experience from centrifugal/axial fan background Strong knowledge on process design techniques and interpretation of results into centrifugal /axial fan details Strong knowledge on control philosophy and should be equipped with hands on awareness on P&ID and instruments Strong interpersonal skills with proven sales skills, demonstrating customer centric behaviour Proficient in Microsoft office products Word Excel VB ( Macros ), Power Point, Outlook etc. Attention to details Desirable skills, knowledge and behaviours Strong time management / prioritization skills Demonstrate ability in achieving & sustaining commercial success Experience working within a global environment an understanding of the diversity and cultural differences and how to operate effectively within India What Will You Get in Return You will have the opportunity to work for a global engineering organisation in a challenging and dynamic role with great development opportunities.
