Job Description

La hault is a new age brand, setting-up boutique properties in off beat locations. Our current establishment is in Himachal Pradesh and planning to expand rapidly to a Pan-India presence. We are looking to build a core team that is hands-on & passionate about redefining hospitality. It is a perfect platform for hospitality enthusiasts to showcase their creativity from creating the right team & culture of the organization , to giving a world class experience to our esteemed guests. As a part of the Phase-1 of the plan , the job will entail working in the mountains(Himachal Pradesh) . The said individual needs to be comfortable with staying in a remote location and cold climate.(Food & Accommodation will be provided on site.) He/She will be working with the founders very closely to build the brand , giving immense opportunity for personal & professional growth. Responsibilities Head chef Indian & Continental: Controlling and directing the food preparation process Creating. department wise teams and hiring the best persons for the same. Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels,brainstorm with the team of chefs and cook and devise new recipes and items Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines Being responsible for health and safety Being responsible for food hygiene practices Keep a direct check on the Utilisation of supplies in the kitchen and ensure no wastage or pilferage is taking place. Menu Reviewing, Analysing recipes, keep a tab on the food, labour and overhead costs and carry out a cost analysis of the items being sold at site. Qualifications - At least 5 years previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment - Proven track record of successfully assisting the running of a kitchen department - Proven track record of successfully assisting in training and developing a team Alongside some of these more general skills: Excellent knowledge of all sections Build their own team Ability to produce excellent high-quality food Good oral communication Team management skills & Team Player qualities High level of attention to detail Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work Positive and approachable manner
