 Windows Desktop Support Engineer

Job Description

  • Knowledge on Windows desktop OS ( win 10 / win 11 / )
  • Taking ownership of customer issues escalated from L2 team and seeing problems through to resolution.
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve system issues.
  • Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues with Microsoft support team follow up with the appropriate internal teams
  • Maintenance of the systems within the Domain network
  • Checking for the faults and solving technical issues related to Standard Apps and OS
  • Installation/Deployment of OS and configuring the System, diagnosing hardware/Software Faults over Remote Sessions includes Phone calls or face to face
  • Familiar with ITIL -Service Now for monitoring cases/Incidents raised with the appropriate Service Offerings

Must know:

  • Microsoft Azure
  • Windows Reimage(re-installation) over Domain Network
  • Windows recovery and repair via CMD
  • Device encryption (BitLocker Device Encryption)
  • Crash Plan Backup
  • Software Installations/Uninstallations ( Vendor based - Adobe , Oracle)
  • Office 365 and 2016 versions
  • One Drive and Share point
  • Domain Joining for the Machines
  • Windows Registry
  • Group Policies
  • RDP
  • Wired and Wireless Authentication
  • Anti-Virus Enterprise (McAfee /Cisco AMP)
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2016&365, SCCM
