Role Overview
We are looking for a Information Security Engineer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale security platforms across our cloud and application ecosystem.
The primary initial focus of this role will be building and scaling Network Security program by planning and deploying Cloudflare WAF and DDoS protection from scratch for 1,000+ web applications, followed by ownership and leadership across broader cybersecurity initiatives including IAM, CNAPP, Kubernetes (EKS) security, and many other areas of Cybersecurity.
This role is ideal for a hands-on security engineer with architecture-level thinking, capable of designing scalable security controls while enabling developer productivity and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement Network Perimeter Solutions including Cloudflare WAF and DDoS protection from the ground up.
Define standardized onboarding frameworks for 1,000+ applications.
Implement and manage:
- o Managed WAF rules and OWASP protections
- o Custom WAF rules for apps and APIs
- o Rate limiting and bot protection
- o Layer 3/4/7 DDoS mitigation strategies
Design origin protection (IP allowlists, mTLS, authenticated origin pulls).
Build automation and IaC pipelines (Terraform, APIs) for mass onboarding.
Continuously tune rules to reduce false positives and improve coverage.
Integrate WAF and DDoS telemetry with SIEM/SOC tooling.
Design and implement enterprise IAM strategies across cloud and SaaS platforms.
Support and enhance:
- SSO and federation (OIDC, SAML)
- Role-based and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC)
- Privileged access management (PAM) concepts
Integrate IAM controls with application and platform security workflows.
Improve identity security posture through:
- Least privilege
- Conditional access
- Identity threat detection
Lead implementation of CNAPP solutions covering:
- CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management)
- CWPP (Workload protection)
- CIEM (Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management)
Define security guardrails for:
- Cloud accounts/subscriptions
- Infrastructure-as-Code
- Runtime workloads
Integrate CNAPP findings into remediation and automation pipelines.
Partner with engineering teams to drive secure-by-default cloud patterns.
Design and implement security controls for Amazon EKS environments.
Establish standards for:
- Cluster hardening
- Pod security (PSA/PSP alternatives)
- Network policies
- Secrets management
Implement Kubernetes security tooling for:
- Runtime threat detection
- Image scanning
- Admission control
Secure CI/CD pipelines feeding Kubernetes workloads.
Build security automation frameworks using:
- APIs
- Infrastructure-as-Code
- CI/CD pipelines
Automate:
- Security onboarding
- Policy enforcement
- Alerting and remediation
Reduce manual operational overhead through scalable security platforms.
Treat security as a product and platform, not just controls.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 3 to 5 years in cybersecurity, cloud security, or platform engineering
- Location: Hyderabad & Hybrid, WFO
- Proven experience implementing security platforms at scale
- Hands-on expertise with WAF, IAM, cloud security, and Kubernetes
- Experience designing systems from zero to enterprise-wide adoption
Technical Skills
- Cloudflare : WAF, DDoS, Firewall Rules, APIs, Terraform provider
- Network Perimeter Security : Network Security best practices
- Cloud Security : AWS (strong), Azure/GCP a plus
- IAM : OIDC, SAML, SSO, RBAC, ABAC
- CNAPP : CSPM, CWPP, CIEM concepts and tooling
- Kubernetes/EKS security best practices
- Automation : Terraform, CI/CD, Python/Bash
- Logging/SIEM integrations
