Job Title: Business Process Analyst
Department: ISPL CIB Indus
Business Line/Function: ISPL External Spend Management
Position Purpose:
The Business Process Analyst serves as the architect of endtoend operating excellence for the organisations externalspend (ESM) function. The role systematically captures knowledge from subjectmatter experts, translates complex activities into standardized SOPs, visual workflows and playbooks, and embeds governance controls that enhance team performance.
Responsibilities
Process Formalisation
- Collaborate with SMEs to capture knowledge and create standardized documentation (SOPs, workflows, playbooks).
- Translate complex business processes into clear frameworks for cross-functional teams.
- Ensure version control and compliance with organizational standards.
Comprehensive Documentation
- Maintain SOPs, process maps, RACI matrices, checklists, templates, playbooks, BRDs, etc.
- Ensure operational clarity and standardization.
Workflow Design
- Develop process workflows and flowcharts for clarity, efficiency, and scalability.
- Create detailed diagrams capturing roles, responsibilities, and exception scenarios.
Process Mapping & Optimisation
- Map current (as-is) processes to identify inefficiencies.
- Design optimized target workflows to improve accuracy and performance.
Standardisation & Governance
- Define and implement standardized frameworks, templates, and guidelines.
Automation Readiness
- Assess processes for automation opportunities.
- Define automation requirements and build an automation pipeline roadmap.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate workshops and reviews to drive consensus and secure sign-offs.
Training & Change Management
- Develop training programs, user guides, and enablement materials.
- Drive change management initiatives for smooth workflow transitions.
Continuous Improvement
- Track, monitor, and report performance using dashboards and data insights.
Technical & Behavioural Competencies
- 8+ years of experience in Business Process Analysis, Process Optimisation, Content Writing.
- Strong expertise in SOP documentation and impactful workflow design.
- Tools: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and advanced visualization tools.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and automation initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and governance frameworks understanding.
- Audit readiness capability.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
