Job Description
- Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes or standards
- Ensure taste, presentation, and portion consistency
- Menu Planning
- Design menus based on season, availability, and customer preferences
- Experiment with new recipes and flavors
- Kitchen Management
- Supervise kitchen staff (line cooks, helpers)
- Assign tasks and monitor performance
- Quality Control
- Maintain high food quality and hygiene standards
- Check freshness of ingredients
- Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage stock, order supplies, and minimize waste
- Control food costs and portion sizes
- Hygiene & Safety
- Follow food safety standards (like FSSAI guidelines in India)
- Keep kitchen clean and organized
