Network Manager @ Gvk Emergency

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

• Design, implement, and maintain physical and virtual server environments (Windows/Linux)
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure
• Oversee data center operations, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans
• Evaluate, test, and deploy OS patches, firmware updates, and system upgrades

Cloud and Virtualization

• Manage hybrid and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
• Plan and execute cloud migration and optimization initiatives

Security & Compliance

• Enforce security best practices for systems and user access (AD, IAM, MFA, etc.)
• Collaborate with InfoSec teams to maintain compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA)
• Monitor and audit systems for vulnerabilities, performance issues, and anomalies

Automation & Monitoring

• Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible
• Implement monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG) for proactive issue resolution

Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as a technical lead in infrastructure projects and cross-functional teams
• Mentor and support junior admins, sharing best practices and documentation
• Collaborate with DevOps, Network, Security, and Application teams

Strategic Contributions

• Assess new technologies and vendors for suitability in enterprise environments
• Contribute to long-term IT strategy, budgeting, and capacity planning
• Draft and maintain detailed documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure diagrams
