About the Role
As an R&D Manager, you will lead engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business objectives. You will oversee technical strategy, resource planning, and operational excellence while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and empower a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and across cross-functional stakeholders.
- Align engineering initiatives with business and product strategy, ensuring technical efforts deliver measurable impact.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; conduct performance reviews and support career growth.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight on architecture, design, and implementation standards.
- Promote best practices in software development, quality assurance, and technical documentation.
- Drive adoption of tools, processes, and technologies that enhance productivity and code quality.
- Plan and manage R&D resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Monitor technical debt, risks, and incidents.
- Identify and execute on opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and innovation across the engineering lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing engineering or R&D teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business goals into clear technical strategies and outcomes.
- Experience with resource planning, delivery management, and risk mitigation.
- Solid understanding of modern software development practices and standards.
