Job Description

AWS RDS Database Disaster Recovery Simulation

Perform DB tests twice in a year using aws cli

Periodically Data restore tests
Database engine upgrade (major/minor) - Heroku Postgres, AWS RDS Postgres, AWS Aurora Postgres
CSDB/RODB manual feed extraction

DBA Ops manually fetch data and provide information for RODB/CSDB data feeds for all AWS RDS databases routinely (this task will be automated)

Monitoring/Performance tuning

Sequences monitor for AITs - quarterly
Extract and prepare Control Center users information from LLE for Authhub data feed - monthly
Implement ARM new/revoke access requests - frequently
Monitor the databases and propose solutions for queries performance improvements - periodically
Support/Troubleshooting/Resolve RDS DB production incidents
Support for Application/QA teams - running queries in LLE to help them testing/validating/debugging - very frequent
