Job Description/ Position Description
The SAP S/4HANA Quality Management (QM) Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality Management processes within the SAP S/4HANA landscape.
The role focuses on ensuring effective quality planning, inspection, and control across procurement, production, and warehouse operations. The QM Lead will manage a team of consultants, work closely with business stakeholders, and ensure system stability, compliance, and process optimization aligned with organizational quality standards.
Job Role/ Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead and oversee SAP QM support operations, ensuring stable system performance and quick issue resolution.
- Manage configurations and support for quality planning, inspection, and quality notifications.
- Handle processes related to inspection lots, results recording, usage decisions, and defect management.
- Work closely with business users to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement process improvements.
- Support integration of QM with MM, PP, PM, and EWM/WM modules.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, ISO, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with the technical team for enhancements, Fiori applications, and system updates.
- Manage incident resolution, root cause analysis, and provide preventive solutions.
- Lead testing, documentation, and user training for changes or new functionalities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to SAP optimization projects.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide guidance to ensure best practices are followed.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Primary Skill: SAP Certified Application Associate - Quality Management with SAP S/4HANA
Secondary Skill:
- 8 + years of experience in SAP Quality Management (QM).
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA (version 1709 or higher).
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management processes such as inspection planning, results recording, and quality notifications.
- Experience in integration with MM, PP, PM, and EWM/WM modules.
- At least two full lifecycle SAP implementations or extensive experience in S/4HANA support projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in managing support teams and handling complex business environments.
