Software Engineer - Testing @ Xenonstack

Software Test engineer responsibilities include maintaining best practices of GUI and User Experience, designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. It must be handling functional and Integration Testing with automation and manual, developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure product and solutions quality

The ideal candidate will be responsible for TestOps, Quality Assurance and Performance Testing and engineering.

• Knowledge of Test Driven and Behaviour Driven Development

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.

• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.

• Build Functional testing tools and improve existing automation platforms

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.

• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

• Monitor debugging process results.

• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.

• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.

• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.

• Experience developing test plans, test cases, assessing risk, and filing appropriate defects

• Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies practices

• Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution

• Experience testing mobile applications (Android, IOS)

• You possess a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, SVN/Git, Maven, SBT, and Jenkins.

• You demonstrate the capability to work with REST API testing and automation and have performance testing experience (JMeter, Gatling).

• Software scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Perl)

• Experience developing automated software tests

• Proven work experience in Test Automation and Automation Testing.

• Knowledge of writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Hands on Experience of Selenium and Robot Framework

• Knowledge of Continuous Testing, DevOps and Test Management
