Job role - Senior Software Engineer

Location: Chennai

Experience: 3- 5 years

Role Overview:

Develop and maintain healthcare data integration solutions using EDI standards and EDIFECS tools, ensuring robust, secure, and compliant data exchange.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and support EDI integrations (X12, HL7) across payer/provider workflows
• Configure, map, and validate transactions using EDIFECS (SpecBuilder, XEngine, Transaction Manager)
• Develop utilities and automation using Python/Shell; write performant SQL for data validation
• Deploy and operate solutions on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS); adhere to security and compliance best practices
• Use monitoring (Dynatrace, Splunk) for proactive issue detection and resolution
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams; contribute to documentation and SDLC deliverables

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of EDI, X12 transactions, HL7, and healthcare data standards
• Hands-on experience with EDIFECS tools: SpecBuilder, XEngine, Transaction Manager
• Proficiency in scripting: Python and Shell; experience with SQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud technologies in healthcare data management
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Good understanding of ITIL v3 processes
• Monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Splunk
• AWS services: EC2, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EBS, EKS, Batch, Lambda, RDS
