Network Security Engineer (L1/L2/L3) @ CtrlS

Job Description

The successful candidate should be a self-starter and responsible all day to day client/internal requests, also collaborative with all other teams to fix the issue. The Engineer must be comfortable working in a very fast paced, busy environment in the rapidly growing Datacenter / ISP service industry.

Engineer - L1 (2-3 years)

• Hand On experience on network switches and router.
• Knowledge on switching and routing technologies like STP, IP Subnetting, Stacking/MLAG, VLAN, EtherChannel and HSRP.
• Knowledge on OSI Layer.
• Knowledge on Firewall.
• Strong documentation knowledge in HLD/LLD.
• LAN security- DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection IP source guard.

Engineer - L2 (4-7 years)

• Supporting end-to-end DC WAN/LAN Network Projects.
• Handling Business Critical issues, Troubleshooting and follow escalation procedures
• Follow change process and provide support for configuring and supporting L3 and Design team for new network projects.
• Coordinating with respective teams /clients to complete client requirements on-time.
• Providing Operational support for DC Network Service Desk.
• Handling different OEM / Vendor follow-ups and escalations.
• Performing Periodic Maintenance activities for all Network links / equipment's
• Handling different Network OEM devices (Cisco, Nexus, Juniper, Huawei, Dell, HP, FortiGate, Palo Alto)
• Routing Protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
• Knowledge of services like DHCP, QoS, NTP, HSRP, GLBP, VRRP, ARP, NAT, ACL, PBR, GRE tunneling, IP SLA/object tracking

Engineer - L3 (8-12 years)

• Supporting end-to-end DC WAN/LAN Network Projects.
• Handling Business Critical issues, Troubleshooting and follow escalation procedures
• Designing and Deploying New network Projects.
• Analyzing Network faults and perform Service Improvement Plans.
• Troubleshooting experience on Packet analysis.
• Handling Problem Tickets and providing Permanent fixes with Root cause analysis.
• Providing L3 Operational support for DC Network Service Desk.
• Performing Periodic Maintenance activities for all Network links / equipment's
• Handling different Network OEM devices (Cisco, Nexus, Juniper, Huawei, Dell, HP, FortiGate, Palo Alto)
• Routing Protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
