As an Assistant Vice President-Financial Accounting Ledger Strategy at HSBC, you will play a key role in shaping the target state of the finance function. Your responsibilities will include: - Contributing detailed existing finance knowledge to shape the target state. - Developing materials to communicate information and support discussions with different audiences. - Understanding the data model, flow, end-to-end solution, and processes. - Analyzing current state operating models against the target model to inform transition approach. - Supporting transition, assessing progress, and evolving the approach to ensure new operating models are fully embedded and benefits are realized. - Assessing the impact of change against the target operating model and supporting Change & Implementation to create a change portfolio. - Defining and monitoring performance measures for the success of change management activities. - Being accountable for defining the PE close, reporting process, ensuring high-quality delivery, and managing stakeholders around reporting. - Ensuring controls over the reporting processes are in line with HSBC's control framework and compliance requirements. - Supporting the development, review, and agreement of required operating model and control changes for the overall operating model and Finance roles and responsibilities. Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong written and oral communication skills in English. - Experience in accounting, financial, regulatory, IFRS, FINREP, and GSIB Reporting. - Understanding of control frameworks and implementation of effective controls. - Ability to deal with and analyze unstructured problems, challenge existing procedures. - Qualified accountant/MBA/Finance qualification with more than 8+ years of post-qualification experience. - Familiarity with IFRS, Regulatory, FINREP & GSIB reporting. - Experience with core HSBC Finance tools, routines, mappings, and reference data. - Subject matter expertise in financial reporting & accounting, management information, and management accounting processes. - Experience in building relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including senior stakeholders. - Practical understanding of software development lifecycles and methods, including requirements definition and testing.
