Job Description
- As an Assistant Vice President, Strategic Sourcing, you will play a crucial role in bringing category sourcing expertise in IT/Telecommunications spend to develop the best sourcing and category strategies, thus maximizing value for clients. Your expertise will also contribute to building credibility with prospective clients and effective stakeholder engagement with existing clients. **Key Responsibilities:** - Possess a minimum of 15+ years of expertise in Strategic Sourcing with a strong breadth of experience across different categories. - Demonstrate proven expertise in Strategic sourcing within the India Banking domain, with in-depth knowledge of working on complex PSR/projects supporting this domain. - Have significant experience in either working with BFSI clients or a major/local BFSI organization within a senior category management role. - Lead a team of ten or more senior buyers for at least two years. - Utilize experience and knowledge to build category playbooks, plans, and support pipeline development. - Analyze client IT contracts and spend data to develop category strategies, conduct opportunity assessments, and build a pipeline of sourcing initiatives aimed at optimizing the IT supply chain and improving operational maturity. - Lead and execute strategic IT sourcing initiatives, influence stakeholder requirements, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial value and robust contractual outcomes. - Represent Genpact as the premier sourcing and category management service provider by participating in events, authoring papers, and demonstrating thought leadership in appropriate forums. - Develop and maintain category-specific knowledge assets and market intelligence capturing expertise and best practices. - Support consulting projects, category assessments, sourcing projects, pre-sales activities, etc., by leveraging IT/Telco category expertise and engaging with clients" senior management. - Drive revenue growth by leveraging category expertise to support new sales and deliver significant client business value. - Collaborate with suppliers and customer stakeholders to identify continuous cost and performance improvement strategies. - Provide educational and learning opportunities to internal colleagues and external clients on industry trends, supplier landscape changes, and market intel within categories of expertise. - Mentor the next layer of category experts in IT/Telecommunications. - Develop new and innovative tools to enhance the category management process internally and for service offerings. **Qualifications:** **Minimum qualifications:** - Hold a Bachelor's Degree. - Possess procurement/consulting/or category-related industry or supplier experience. - Have experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and/or professional industry experience related to the IT/Telecommunication categories. **Preferred qualifications:** - Master's degree is preferred.,
