Job Description

This job description is for a Cloud Computing & Data & AI Technical Presales Consultant with 5-7 years of experience in India. This role is a critical link between the sales team, the technical delivery team, and the client. The consultant's primary responsibility is to understand a client's business challenges and technical needs and then architect and present compelling, data-driven cloud and AI solutions


Key Responsibilities


  • Solution Design & Strategy: Partner with the sales team to understand customer requirements and design tailored, end-to-end cloud, data, and AI solutions.
  • Client Engagement & Presentations: Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with clients to identify business problems and then deliver impactful technical presentations and demonstrations of proposed solutions.
  • Proof of Concepts (PoCs): Lead the technical aspects of proof-of-concept engagements, validating the solution's capabilities and value to the customer.
  • Proposal & RFP Management: Prepare and write detailed technical proposals, solution documentation, and responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information).
  • Technical Authority: Act as the technical subject matter expert during the sales cycle, providing expert guidance on data strategy, cloud architecture, and the technology stack.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and the competitive landscape in cloud computing, data, and AI to enhance solution offerings.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the delivery and engineering teams to ensure a smooth transition from presales to project execution, guaranteeing the proposed solution is feasible and can be successfully implemented.

Required Skills & Qualifications


Technical Skills

  • Cloud Platforms: Extensive hands-on experience and deep knowledge of at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Cloud certifications are highly preferred.
  • Data & AI/ML: Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), and the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning models.
  • Programming & Tools: Proficiency with relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and familiarity with big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Architecture: Experience designing scalable and resilient cloud and data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Soft Skills

  • Communication & Presentation: Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  • Consultative Approach: A customer-centric mindset with the ability to translate business problems into data-driven technical solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose client challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a technical presales, solutions consulting, or solutions architect role, preferably within the IT services or consulting industry in India.
