We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer with 34 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise networks. The ideal candidate should be experienced in troubleshooting complex network issues, configuring and maintaining enterprise-grade equipment, and ensuring network stability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues escalated from desktop support teams.
- Perform configuration, installation, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network health, bandwidth usage, and uptime using advanced monitoring tools.
- Manage WLC, VLANs, and firewall rules for seamless connectivity and security.
- Coordinate and support planned and emergency network change implementations.
- Collaborate with ISPs and vendors for WAN issues and link configuration.
- Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, IP addressing, and asset inventory.
- Participate in network upgrades, patching, and hardware refresh projects.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Support backup internet connections and redundancy configurations.
- Assist in high availability (HA) drills and business continuity testing.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and WLC controllers.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools like Wireshark, NetFlow, and similar.
- Ability to create and follow detailed technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
