Job Description
- Take charge of maintaining Global Storage Infrastructure
- Administer, maintain, and support of Hitachi SAN, Dell EMC PowerMax, Dell Isilon, NetApp & SAN switches like a pro.
- Streamlining operations through automation using Ansible & Terraform
- Must ensure technical research and development to enable continuous innovation.
- Resolve major incidents and technical escalations within agreed SLAs and quality.
- Good understanding of Problem Management & Change Management
- Install hardware and software, maintain appropriate service levels, performance tuning and firmware upgrades across multiple hardware platforms.
- Conducting capacity planning, performance monitoring and provide recommendations for improvement in the infrastructure.
- Translating requirements into a technical design.
- Plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
- Mentors team members and educates users.
- AIX Administration responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining AIX servers, applying patches and updates, troubleshooting issues, managing PowerHA the AIX environment
- Strong 8+ years of hands-on experience with Hitachi and Dell Storage Arrays, Brocade SAN switches along with zoning exp and NAS solutions like Isilon, Hitachi NAS & NetApp
- Working experience in VMware, Win2016, Win 2019, AIX & Linux platform.
- Experience with Change & Incident Management Tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration within a global team.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and solve complex problems using sound judgment and creativity.
- Assess and communicate risks based on complexity, resource, and timeline constraints.
- Ability to work in cross functional teams and influence the outcome.
- Should be willing to work in rotational shifts (18/5) - Shift timings: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM, 12.30 PM to 9.30 PM. Night on-call and provide Weekend on-call support.
- Working knowledge of Ansible, terraform, Python, Shell scripting.
- Hitachi Certification is an added advantage.
