Job Description
- As an Assistant Manager in Vessel Accounting at Fleet Management India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in understanding and meeting the financial reporting needs of our diverse portfolio of vessels. Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to company policies, implementing best accounting practices within the team, and delivering accurate and timely financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day tasks will involve managing the accounting activities for the vessels, such as raising fund requests, reviewing vendor invoices, preparing month-end adjustment entries, and more. You will be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, cash flow statements, budget variance reports, and ensuring that all reporting requirements are met within the specified deadlines. Additionally, you will collaborate with the reporting manager on various MIS reporting activities, including reports to the Managing Director, Budget Variance Reports, and other ad-hoc reporting work as needed. Your role will require a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the accounting industry, preferably with shipping experience, and a strong educational background in Accounting, Finance, or related fields. To excel in this role, you should have a solid understanding of financial reports, cash flow statements, budget versus actual reports, and experience working with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP. Your contribution will be vital to supporting the short and long-term sustainable growth of Fleet Management India Private Limited and ensuring the success of our clients and stakeholders.,
