Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior NOC Engineer to support the operation, monitoring, and escalation of our global network infrastructure.
- This role ensures the health, performance, and availability of enterprise connectivity by managing incidents, analyzing trends, and implementing solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.
- The ideal candidate will be proficient in routing, switching, firewalls, monitoring platforms, VPNs, VoIP, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, cloud networking (AWS/Azure), ISP coordination, and have experience supporting SASE, Netskope, and other modern networking technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Network Monitoring & Incident Response
- Proactively monitor network devices and circuits via SolarWinds, or similar tools.
- Respond to and resolve critical alerts (site down, high latency, packet loss, hardware failure).
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Post-Incident Reports (PIRs).
- Coordinate with carriers and ISPs during outages and performance degradation.
- Change & Configuration Management
- Support and validate planned changes (routing, VLANs, firewall rules, device replacements).
- Participate in CAB reviews, rollback strategy creation, and post-change health checks.
- Maintain accurate network documentation and topology diagrams.
- Access & Connectivity
- Troubleshoot VPN access (site-to-site and remote access), DNS/DHCP issues, and IP conflicts.
- Provision and maintain firewall rules (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FTD).
- Performance & Capacity Planning
- Generate utilization and performance trend reports (bandwidth, latency).
- Analyze baseline metrics to anticipate scaling needs and alert fatigue.
- Ensure optimal routing, circuit redundancy, and bandwidth allocation.
- Cloud & SASE Technologies
- Assist in provisioning and monitoring AWS/Azure/GCP network components (VPC, TGW, VPN, NSG).
- Support integration and policy configuration in Netskope, Zscaler, or similar SASE platforms.
- Maintain hybrid cloud connectivity with secure routing and segmentation.
- VoIP, Wireless, and LAN Support
- Troubleshoot VoIP call quality, extension provisioning, and QoS-related issues.
- Provide support for wireless infrastructure (SSID management, AP onboarding).
- Perform switch port provisioning, VLAN assignments, and trunk configuration.
- Project & Implementation Support
- Participate in new deployments, tech refreshes, and rollout of next-gen network technologies.
- Support PoCs (proof-of-concept) for new NOC monitoring tools or cloud security integrations.
- Assist with large-scale migrations, such as SD-WAN, Zero Trust networking, and automation.
