SD-WAN Network Engineer @ Virtual Tech Gurus

Job Description

Job Overview:

We're hiring an L1 to L2 Engineer with hands-on experience in Cisco SD-WAN and/or Palo Alto firewalls. Youll be responsible for supporting network operations, troubleshooting issues, and helping deploy or upgrade network devices.

Must-Have Skills (SD-WAN Role):

• Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) Cedges onboarding, templates, policies
  
• Routing: BGP, OSPF, Route-maps, PBR, static/default routes
  
• OS upgrades, VRRP/HSRP
  

Nice to Have:

• Cisco switching, wireless, Meraki
  
• Palo Alto Firewall and Panorama

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2-level support for Cisco SD-WAN, LAN/WAN/WLAN
  
• Troubleshoot complex network issues escalated from L1
  
• Implement quick fixes and temporary solutions
  
• Coordinate with field teams for deployments and changes
  
• Perform post-change testing and documentation
  
• Escalate major issues to L3/OEM when needed
  
• Help deploy new devices and support upgrades
  
• Share RCA and improvement suggestions
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Engineering, CS, or related field
  
• 38 years of network support experience
  
• CCNA required; CCNP preferred
  
• Strong in routing (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
  
• Basic understanding of VLANs, VPNs, QoS, VRF
  
• Bonus: Knowledge of Infoblox and Cisco ISE
  
• Good communication and documentation skills
