Job Description
- You are a proactive and technically adept Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) joining a dynamic team. Your responsibilities include interpreting application designs, developing robust software solutions, adhering to coding standards, and ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality applications. This role requires a balance between hands-on development, strategic planning, and effective collaboration across teams. You will collaborate with the scrum team to identify testing needs and opportunities, develop a comprehensive QA testing strategy, and design/implement test plans and cases based on business requirements. You will also develop and maintain automated test frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured, execute and report on testing suites, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will perform API testing with tools like Postman and Rest Assured, conduct database testing with SQL and NoSQL databases, and ensure data integrity and performance. Collaborating with developers, product managers, and stakeholders is crucial to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Reporting any issues to client stakeholders and leadership with detailed defect reports and status updates is a key aspect of this role. You should have a BS degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of software engineering testing experience, proficiency in Java and/or Python, and extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and Rest Assured. Strong skills in TestNG, JUnit, and BDD frameworks, as well as expertise in testing RESTful APIs and knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases are required. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, JIRA, and agile methodologies is essential. Preferred skills include experience with cloud architectures, performance testing tools, containerization, and agile methodologies. This is a full-time position with an in-person work location.,
