Job Description
- As an Analyst in Accounting and Cash Management at Ares, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements for SEC filings. Your responsibilities will include reviewing US GAAP and IFRS financial statements, overseeing daily and monthly NAV packages, assisting in the close process, and preparing compliance reports such as Form PF, ADV, and AIFMD. Your role will involve frequent interaction with various teams across the organization, including portfolio managers, investor relations, operations, tax, and financial reporting. You will also be responsible for managing cash liquidity, conducting monthly cash reconciliations, assisting in basic treasury functions, and collaborating with team members to allocate expenses between investment funds. Additionally, you will participate in ad-hoc projects and contribute to process improvements to enhance effectiveness and accuracy. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree and be CA Qualified, with a CPA equivalent certification being a plus. Ideally, you should have 1-2 years of experience in an analyst role in accounting/cash management, along with industry experience. Proficiency in Microsoft tools such as Office 365, Power BI, or Advent Geneva investment accounting software will be advantageous. Having a basic understanding of credit products like Bank Loans, Term Loans, Revolvers, and DDTLs is essential. You should be able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Prioritization skills, deadline management, and proficiency in Excel are also key requirements for this role.
