Job Description

Broad outline of the Role NFVI Servers & Virtualization Layer-VNF ENGINEER B2-2 Purpose - Broad objective of the role Design, deploy, configure, and maintain the NFVI servers and virtualization layer for efficient operation of Virtual Network Functions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize VNFs within the NFVI infrastructure. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of NFVI servers and virtualization layers to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Minimum qualification & experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of experience working with server technologies and virtualization platforms in an NFV/SDN environment. Strong knowledge of NFVI architecture, virtualization technologies (such as OpenStack, VMware), and VNF management. Experience in deploying, configuring, and managing Virtual Network Functions within NFVI environments. Other. knowledge/skills Work with VNF vendors and developers to test, validate, and onboard Virtual Network Functions onto the NFVI platform. Develop and maintain documentation, including configurations, operational procedures, and best practices for NFVI servers and virtualization layers. Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex issues related to NFVI servers, virtualization, and VNF deployments. Key Responsibilities Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving in complex virtualized environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Certifications or training in NFV, virtualization technologies, and server platforms would be advantageous. Familiarity with cloud-based virtualization platforms and technologies. Understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security concepts. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages for NFVI/VNF management. Technical Competencies Interested to engage in cross-functional multi-domain, multi-technology projects Able to prepare high level and low-level design documentation, deployment strategy, migration strategy, test plan, MOPs Excellent Written, Verbal Communication & Presentation skills Knowledge / Skills
