Main Responsibilities
Product Analysis and Definition
Demonstrate excellence establish standards on product definition activities: specifications, solution design, finding solutions to complex problems
Responsible for planning, conducting and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems
Support Product Management on cross-area solution design for complex scenario (including architecture proposal for new features) by being the functional entry point for a given area
Solves business problems through a clear methodology including appropriate documentation
Review proposed specifications for complex solutions
Reviews or advise on test strategy/plan
Recommend process improvements
Architecture design, RD project follow up from requirements to production
Building relations Knowledge sharing
Coach / mentor team members on product definition skills, drive the culture change towards professionalization
Provides guidance/direction/training and mentor less experienced product definition analysts
Provides consultancy to users in detailed functionalities
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as excellent listening skills, to serve as lead conduit between software development engineers, architects, product definition analysts, and with internal stakeholders
Support software development engineers by assisting with functionality questions, addressing testing issues, providing training on new features
Share advanced knowledge of functional flows, documentation, tools and architecture concepts
Provide on demand functional knowledge of their area of expertise to Product Management, Delivery and Support teams and other PDA members.
Technical Excellence
To succeed in your new role, you re required to have relevant experience in the following areas:
Business Knowledge of the Travel Industry: Subject Expert, foresee markets trends, defines Strategy, and requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization
Technical Excellence: Max level, foresee high complex problems, organizational recognized reference, takes broad perspective to identify solutions. Interprets internal/external business issues and recommends solutions
Excellent knowledge of key business analysis tasks, elements and techniques (UML Diagrams, SWOT analysis, etc.)
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and meeting facilitation skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure, flexibility
Identify unclear requests and possible impacts and ensure the requests are clarified by/with the relevant party before providing a solution
Provide product solution for Change requests or user stories
Interface with Architects and Experts on long-term component vision
Communicate, share, explain and ensure buy-in on component strategy evolution
Ensure quality responsibilities mind-set is shared by each stakeholder of the development cycle to contribute to service stability effort Innovation
Contribute to a collaborative work environment which promotes innovation and empowerment
Bring out continuous improvements on product, evaluate these ideas from a business perspective and ensure it is taken up for execution
Regular innovation brainstorming sessions with the team and intra-team
People Leadership
Coach/mentor other PDAs in the team
Collaborate with all different scrum teams in Cytric
Experience working in a MNC with a collaborative, distributed style of work across different geographical locations and cultures
Working independently and with an autonomous style of working with minimal supervision Thought Leadership
Strong research and problem solving skills, system thinking
Spread cross-department, cross-project best practices on business analysis
Participation and contribution in communities globally in Amadeus community
Contribution to Global Initiatives run across Amadeus and / or locations in BLR etc Qualifications/Experience
Education: BE/ BTech, computer science or related field preferred
Relevant work experience:
Minimum 10-12 years of experience in software product engineering .
Minimum of 5 years of experience being a business analyst
Experience working in Agile setups using SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) in a global distributed environment Ability to understand software architecture and design and its impact on business requirements (and vice-versa); familiarity with data exchange protocols like JSON, XML, Web Services using SOAP / REST
Experience working in the travel industry (hospitality, airline, ground, rail transportation etc.) would be a plus
