Job Description

  • Enterprise Data Platforms (EDP) team s vision is to deliver exceptional customer experience every day, empowering the enterprise to use trusted data and insights enabled through best-in-class suite of products.
  • Lead and supervise the translation of product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams, via collaboration with multiple stakeholders on Requirements Grooming, Design, Architecture and Prioritization across multiple scrum teams.
  • Assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize features and user stories to ensure that work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the product strategy.
  • Partner with the design and technology teams to develop, evaluate, deliver the defined capabilities, and rapidly iterate innovative solutions.
  • Mentor the product owners on eliciting user needs and matching them to the wider product vision.
  • Keep up to date with industry, competitor, Agile/SAFe methodologies, and latest trends.
  • Manage program blocking issues, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical or operational constraints.
  • Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for products.
Functional Responsibilities:
  • As a Product owner with Enterprise Data Platforms team, execute product development strategy for the products aligned to Enterprise Data Deletion, Retention and Anonymization capability.
  • We would expect candidate to be data driven, understand the data lifecycle management and associated tools/enablers to build scalable products supporting the process at an enterprise level.
  • Work with the leader to support on the tech design and architecture of the products to ensure solution is scalable and can solve for majority of the applications and databases in the company.
  • Work with the DLM policy owners to ensure that the guidelines and changes thereof are documented and available
  • Understand business requirements, product gaps/requirement gaps and drive feature choices.
  • Constantly test their own products, create edge cases and if required should have the ability to write and define product specs from scratch.
  • Mentor the team in shaping the deliverables both from a functional and technical perspective and be able to drive the vision with the engineering teams.
  • Breaking down high-level milestones into requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Reviewing and accepting engineering deliverables, ensuring it meets all of your requirements.
  • Have the ability to be able to work with complex cross functional teams: Engineers, Architects, governance & business partners.
  • Co-ordinate communication, escalate and facilitate resolution of risks, issues and changes tied to the Product Backlog
  • Evaluate external big data tools/capabilities landscape in data management to assess applicability for platform.
  • Prior people leadership experience is preferred
Qualification Requirements:
  • bachelors or masters degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information security, Mathematics, Statistics, MBA or any other relevant qualification .
  • 6+ years of demonstrated excellence in delivering business solutions across a variety of platforms and technologies such as GCP, Big Data, Pyspark, Hive, Scala, Python
  • Knowledge about Databases, SQL, Data movement, APIs, developing user interfaces & BI reporting is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework, have an Agile mindset, and can embrace new opportunities and adapt easily to change.
  • Product development experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication, product, and problem-solving skills.
