Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead our Personal
Care Division's Doctor Channel in the assigned territory. The candidate will be responsible for driving
sales growth, managing a high-performing team, strengthening doctor engagement, and overseeing
hand distribution execution. The role requires a strong strategic mindset, excellent people
management skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare and personal care ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Target Achievement: Develop and execute territory-level sales strategies to meet
and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets. Ensure effective implementation of
marketing and sales campaigns.
2. Doctor Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with dermatologists,
gynecologists, and other key healthcare professionals. Drive product advocacy through
clinical education, product detailing, and regular visits.
3. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and motivate a team of field sales executives
(FSEs) or medical representatives. Conduct regular fieldwork, joint calls, and team reviews to
ensure high productivity and compliance.
4. Distribution & Channel Management: Monitor and manage primary and secondary sales.
Ensure timely product availability through effective coordination with distributors and ensure
seamless hand distribution to doctors/clinics.
5. Market Intelligence: Stay updated on competitor activity, market trends, and customer
feedback to identify new opportunities and challenges. Share timely insights with the
leadership team to aid in strategic decision-making.
6. Reporting & Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales performance, field
activities, and expenses. Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and ethical
standards.
Desired Candidate Profile: Education: Graduate (Science/Pharmacy preferred); MBA is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years in pharmaceutical/personal care sales, with at least 2 years in a team handling
role.
Channel Expertise: Prior experience in doctor channel sales (especially dermatology, gynecology, or
allied fields) is essential.
Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to Travel:
Extensive travel within the assigned territory.
