Key Responsibilities Operational Management: Oversee and coordinate all operational activities within the travel and tourism department, including reservations, bookings, ticketing, and tour arrangements. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to optimize efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve operational excellence. Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of travel consultants, tour guides, and support staff, ensuring high levels of productivity, motivation, and professionalism. Provide ongoing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to the team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members. Customer Service: Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service by establishing service. standards, resolving customer issues, and managing customer feedback. Handle escalated customer complaints or complex situations, striving for swift and satisfactory resolutions. Continuously seek opportunities to improve customer experiences and exceed their expectations. Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for the travel and tourism department, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded. Monitor and control operational costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality. Prepare regular financial reports, including revenue analysis, expense tracking, and profitability assessments. Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, transportation providers, and tour operators. Negotiate and manage contracts, rates, and terms with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure the quality and reliability of services. Compliance and Risk Management: Stay up to date with industry regulations, policies, and best practices related to travel and tourism operations. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, such as health and safety regulations, data protection, and travel documentation. Implement and maintain appropriate risk management protocols and contingency plans
