Testing Lead (OSS,BSS) - Assistant ManagerDate: 25 Oct 2023Location: Chennai, IndiaCompany: Tata CommunicationsTechnical Skills RequiredStrong Stakeholder relationship management skills analysisStrong experience interfacing with Business and managing expectation.Ability to think outside of box and in some instances, cope with aggressive project timescales and pressure situationsConfident working autonomously or as a member of several teamsStrong collaboration skills and awareness of change and release management principlesHighly capable and adaptable working with Agile & Waterfall MethodologiesExperience in telecommunication Network, Technology, and IT systemsAggregation and Access NetworkFibre, Copper, Fixed Wireless, Satellite and HFC technologyOSS/BSS, Assurance, Mobility and Workforce Management systemsRoles & ResponsibilitiesCo-ordinate the definition of scope of testing with context of each Release / Capability / Program aligning to the E2E Test Strategy defined for the scope of. works.Kick off & co-ordination of the sourcing and preparation of Test Data, Test Environments and Execution as required.Project manage the test phasesEffective liaison with all relevant business stakeholders and system ownersProvide UAT / BRT Daily Status Reports to StakeholdersCo-ordinate Change Request Impact AssessmentsParticipate in Deployment Readiness Review Meetings including risk assessmentsEffective liaison with different stakeholders to ensure successful UAT, PVT and BRT outcomesProvide post-Deployment Status Communication to NES Leads including risk assessmentsProvide Support for Post-Deployment War Room as requiredParticipate in Project Implementation ReviewContinuous improvement of Test process and methodology to find efficiencies and improvements in the way we work.Major & Supporting Responsibilities:Scope, estimate UAT, BRT, IPVT and POC across both Network and IT delivery approaches as requiredFor small, large, complex and/or non-standard projects, develop and Drive the Test strategy, Test plan, which provides the overall description of all UAT, PVT and BRT activities and how they fit into the project delivery.Plan, execute and program manage end-to-end all UAT, PVT and BRT activities on complex/ large and non-standard deliveries. This may involve leading a virtual team of Test Specialists/ Engineers, and/or representatives from across the various business units.Aligned approach for SEO, Test Management and Business units approach and resource ask to support testing.Test Strategy / Test planTesting suite maintained throughout the project which comprisesTest PlanTest ScenariosTest plans have been followed throughout the project, with any exceptions approvedTest CasesTest DataTest EnvironmentChange RequestTest ResultsTest ReportsTest plans have been followed throughout the project, with any exceptions approved.Ways to Measure Accomplishments:Project, Program and Release governance structure is defined, with simple reporting lines, clear accountabilities, and project management supportTest delivery model is well established, documented and understoodTest Strategy / Test plan: It has been documented and agreed at the start of the Program, Project or Release covers all UAT, PVT and BRT activities required for the full scope of the delivery Defines the phasing and test interdependencies This includes the activities to plan and prepare for testing is aligned to the Project Management Plan is designed to ensure no negative impact to operations and operations requirements met and meets Testing Practice standardsTesting suite is:Executed, documented, controlled and accessible, and maintained throughout the program or project or releasecontain documents delivered on time and to Testing Practice standardsValidation of compliance and test activities to high level and individual test plans throughout the program or project or release.Job Segment: Project Manager, Assistant Manager, SEO, Network, Telecom, Technology, Management, Marketing
