Role & responsibilities
Primary Role: 1. Acts as the first point of contact of IT Support for all staff across the
network and assigned departments
2. Troubleshoots technical issues to speedily resolve user problems.
Escalates to Team Leader and/or vendor as required.
3. Follows laid down guidelines and schedules for data backup, restore
planning and recovery management.
4. Expedites the repair of hardware faults and software configuration
problems, notifying or forwarding to relevant suppliers in a timely
manner.
5. Provides technical assistance to project teams and individual users and
undertakes technical project roles as and when required.
6. Installs and configures operating systems and software to agreed
standards under the direction of the Team Leader.
7. Assists ongoing development and implementation of related
departmental policies and procedures, including appropriate controls
around organizational change management.
8. Assists in Asset/ Inventory Management.
9. Keeps abreast of IT developments in industry and shares knowledge and
suggestions to improve processes and policies as applicable.
Secondary Role: 1. Adopts the Dr. Oetker culture of professionalism, integrity, effectiveness
and dynamic attitude contributing to an internal environment of
teamwork and promotes a positive brand image to our external
customers.
2. Steps in for other areas of IT categories to ensure seamless working in
the department, when required.
3. Proactively shares information and market trends with the team
internally and beyond the department to ensure maximum benefit to
the organization
Educational
Qualification/Experience:
1. Graduation in any field (preferably IT).
2. Advanced degree/diploma/certification is considered a plus (Unix, WAN,
LAN, Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Microsoft Office, Microsoft
SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server).
3. Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
4. Knowledge of current enterprise server hardware, operating systems,
