Job Description

Position: Vice President Scientific Services Function: Sales & Marketing Reports To: CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) Team Strength Approximately 14 15 Geography Responsibility-PAN India, Position to be based in Mumbai HQ Background: USV, A multi-faceted healthcare organization with a proficient marketing team, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and R&D centers that are at par with international standards. Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to lead the medico marketing activities for the organization across their current 12 therapeutic segments (Cardiology, Diabetes (incl. Biologics), Dermatology and Consumer division support) and work closely with the business leaders as per their requirements. Achieve high engagement levels across all levels of employees with innovative. engagement practices and draw and follow quantifiable metrics to increase the overall support to the business. Job Responsibilities: - Designing and building complete scientific launch plan and strategy for all new product launches - Designing and executing various medico marketing scientific activities for healthcare professionals. - Planning and conducting various post marketing studies to generate new scientific information for various products and various therapeutic segments. -Requisite presentations to the regulatory authorities for new drugs/ new indications as and when required -Evaluation of new products / portfolios / therapy areas as and when required -Ideation and creation of a scientific strategy for existing and future scientific portfolios/products -Ensuring financial prudence and budget management for the Scientific Services team -Interpretation and key understanding in the evolving regulatory, therapeutic landscape will be added as an added advantage - Training of internal stakeholders for scientific bridging and product information - Strong scientific support to existing product basket - KOL Advocacy and management for all product segments approximately 12 existing. - Act as a key medical advisor for all product segments and advice and guide internal stakeholders and the business heads on all scientific matters - Support in brand building activities for new product launches and to establish a strong foothold in the existing segments and products. - Designing, preparing, and executing the scientific and technical training modules of various products under different segments and imparting the same periodically to the front-end teams. - Understanding, interpreting, and evaluating the clinical study data to provide the appropriate support to the front-end teams scientifically. Job Requirements: The right candidate will have strong leadership and business facing skills and a passion for helping the business grow and scale to new heights. The VP Medical (Medico Marketing & Training) is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle scientific support to various business segments. Doctorate in Medicine (MD) Pharmacology (preferred) Minimum 15 years relevant progressive experience Prior experience in Phase 4 Clinical study (BA / BE) or investigator lead studies in clinical domain will be an added advantage. Computer literacy including scientific tools, Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written Demonstrated ability to develop related programs & policies Demonstrated leadership ability in a changing, matrixed business environment Demonstrated ability to coach and be a leader to developing team members
