Job Description
The Strategic Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the company's strategic planning and financial operations. This role involves analyzing financial data, forecasting future trends, and assisting with the formulation of financial models to support decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: Financial Analysis and Modeling: Undertake detailed financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities within the business. Develop comprehensive financial models to support strategic decisions, including scenarios and sensitivity analysis. Assist in the valuation of business opportunities, including acquisitions, divestitures, and capital investments. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and other stakeholders to collect relevant financial. data. Facilitate the integration of financial goals with operational plans by collaborating with the management team. Support cross-departmental projects by providing financial insights and analysis. Financial Forecasting and Budgets: Lead the financial forecasting process, modeling various scenarios and assisting with strategic planning. Prepare and manage the annual budget, and conduct monthly reviews to monitor performance against targets. Analyze financial data to identify trends and forecast future results, providing a financial forecast report to senior management. Analytical Insights and Recommendations: Translate complex data into actionable strategies and techniques to drive sales, enhance performance, and achieve financial objectives. Present analytical insights to senior management, highlighting key financial risks and opportunities. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. Financial Strategies and Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of financial strategies to foster business growth. Help establish and review financial policies and procedures to ensure they align with the company's strategic objectives. Ensure that strategic financial goals are met by implementing and maintaining financial systems and processes. Team Leadership: Lead the finance team, setting goals, providing mentorship, and ensuring professional development. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence within the team. Ensure efficient allocation of resources within the finance department. Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategy. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
