Job Purpose:
The job involves providing fire security cover to entire hospital and advice on security matters to the various departments involved.
Job Responsibilities:
- To Plan, develop and coordinate Safety and environment programs.
- To ensure safety of Organizations physical environment for patients, families, visitors & Employees.
- Ensure compliance with respect to fire safety norms with all applicable laws & Regulations of organization, local bodies, state and central government.
- To reduce fire related incidents
- To implement Fire Accident prevention programs
- To oversee and manage Potential safety, health and environmental risks.
- Establishing a fire safety management structure, including designating those people responsible for each part of the plan
- Action to eliminate or reduce hazards wherever possible
- Monitoring unavoidable hazards
- Training staff in the actions they should take in the event of fire and how to recognize, remedy and report fire hazards
- Other measures to reduce possible losses which, in turn, might attract savings in insurance premiums.
Candidate Requirements:
- Verbal Ability/Communication Skill: Ability to comprehend verbal instructions given by the supervisor or head of the department.
- Able to work accurately and with minimal supervision.
- To give accurate and tactful explanations to patients. Problem solving/ Decision-making
- Ability to comprehend written instructions given by the Doctors and the other related departmental personnel.
- Ability to plan & organize ones work schedule effectively.
- Speaking and listening are essential requirements to understand and carry out the instructions given by the supervisors and other related departmental personnel.
- Affinity to work in a team.
Qualification :
- Diploma in Fire and Safety
- B.Tech in Fire and Safety Officer
- Post Graduate Diploma in Fire and Safety Management
- NEBOSH International Diploma
