Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle HCM Technical Consultant to design, develop, implement, and support solutions in the Oracle Cloud HCM platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Oracle HCM modules, integrations, and reporting, with a focus on HCM Extracts, HCM Data Loader (HDL), Fast Formulas, and BI Reporting .
This role requires close collaboration with business users, IT teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives. The consultant should be well-versed in Oracle Cloud HCM technical components, data security, API integrations, and encryption methodologies .
Key Responsibilities
  • Oracle Cloud HCM Implementation Support
  • Provide end-to-end technical support for Oracle Cloud HCM implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Work closely with functional teams to ensure seamless integration across Core HR, Payroll, Absence Management, Compensation, Talent Management , and other HCM modules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Technical Development Customization
  • Develop and configure HCM Extracts for data retrieval and reporting.
  • Utilize HCM Data Loader (HDL) and HSDL for data migration and bulk uploads.
  • Write and optimize Fast Formulas for Payroll, Benefits, and other HCM modules.
  • Design and develop BI Publisher Reports , OTBI dashboards, and SQL-based reports.
  • Integration API Management
  • Develop and manage integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Web Services , and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Ensure seamless data flow between Oracle HCM and third-party systems such as payroll providers, benefits platforms, and financial systems.
  • Implement security best practices for data encryption and decryption, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Security Compliance
  • Implement encryption and decryption mechanisms to protect sensitive HCM data.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security best practices .
  • Collaborate with security teams to manage roles, privileges, and user access control .
  • Redwood Upgrade (Preferred but Not Mandatory)
  • Support the adoption of Oracle HCM s Redwood UI framework for a modernized user experience.
  • Assist in the transition and optimization of legacy customizations to align with Redwood standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration Communication
  • Work directly with business users, HR teams, and IT teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing support.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training as needed.
Required Skills Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud technical development and support.
  • Expertise in HCM Extracts, HCM Data Loader (HDL), Fast Formulas, and BI Reporting (BI Publisher, OTBI, SQL Reports) .
  • Strong experience in Oracle REST API and SOAP Web Services for system integrations.
  • Good understanding of HCM functional modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Absence Management, Compensation, Talent Management, and Benefits.
  • Experience in implementing encryption and decryption techniques to secure HCM data.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is a plus.
  • Experience in the Redwood UI upgrade is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business and IT teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Oracle Cloud HCM Certification (Technical or Functional) is a plus.
  • Experience working in agile methodology is beneficial.
  • Prior experience in global HR implementations or large enterprise environments is advantageous.
