Job Description: Head Chef - Iranian Cuisine
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef specializing in Iranian cuisine to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of traditional and contemporary Persian cooking techniques, as well as the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently while creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Create and design an innovative menu featuring a variety of authentic Iranian dishes, incorporating seasonal ingredients and regional flavors while considering dietary preferences and trends.
- Team Management: Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service are consistently met. Conduct regular performance evaluations and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Food Preparation: Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards for taste, appearance, and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, order supplies and ingredients, and maintain proper storage and sanitation practices. Monitor food costs and minimize waste to ensure profitability.
- Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control of ingredients and finished dishes. Conduct regular tastings to ensure consistency and adherence to established recipes.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations, including food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with guests to gather feedback, share knowledge about Iranian cuisine, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with management in planning special events, promotions, and seasonal menu changes that highlight Iranian cuisine.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role, with a strong emphasis on Iranian cuisine.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in a reputable restaurant.
- In-depth knowledge of Iranian ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in Persian cuisine at HC level, creative, can fusion the taste to adapt to company requirement, able to do recipe of dishes, experience working F& B system, Pre opening experience is plus. Good with Training staff, trained with Iranian chef.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Salary & Perks : 8,000 - 10, 000 SAR
