We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and leading the kitchen staff Key Responsibilities: Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control. Ensure efficient food costing, portion control, and waste management to maintain profitability. Oversee kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety regulations (HACCP, FSSAI, or relevant standards). Develop and test new recipes in collaboration with the Executive Chef. Monitor and manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels. Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet presentation and taste standards. Handle kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef. Coordinate with other departments (front-of-house, purchasing, and suppliers) for smooth workflow. --- Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role at a reputable restaurant. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and menu development. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene standards. Strong skills in inventory management, cost control, and kitchen efficiency. Creativity in menu planning and presentation. Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills. Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institute is preferred. --- Preferred Experience & Skills: Experience in fine dining, Indian, or international cuisine Ability to manage multiple stations in the kitchen.
