Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Business Development Manager:

  1. Understand the company s offerings across both content and technology and clearly communicate the USP to the client
  2. Research the target market for assessing & understanding the target market size & buying potential
  3. Cold-calling Higher-Educational clients like Engineering, business, graduate & medical colleges to explain the company s content and tech solutions
  4. Understanding the customers organization chart to identify the end-users, influencers, and decision-makers.
  5. Meeting stakeholders to analyze needs, demo the company s offerings and understand the customer s interest
  6. Submitting and following up on proposals and moving them to negotiations and finally close.
  7. Consistently follow up with Prospects and maintain a relationship even when the potential is not immediate
  8. Coordinate internally with the customer success and sales teams to fulfill orders as promised and ensure high standards of CSAT.
  9. Update opportunity tracking tools like Zoho or Leadsquared to provide a precise forecast of the pipeline to the Sales Head.

  10. Qualifications and requirements of BDM:

  11. Experience: 2-4 years of B2B Tech Sales experience, good communication skills, a flair for consultative selling, and someone who has exposure to the end-to-end sales cycle.
  12. Ed. Tech sales would be a bonus. Candidates should be initiative-driven and must be independent in carrying out tasks and building the pipeline.
  13. Good selling skills, Hands-on understanding of conceptual sales, SaaS & cloud sales experience
  14. Perseverance, sincerity, out-of-box thinking, patience to handle lengthy sales cycles.

Languages: English, Hindi, and other local languages.
