Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Record to Report

The position requires excellent organizational and analytical skills to handle the transaction flow and provide direction and coordinate accounting & reporting functions to ensure timely closure of period ends. The incumbent will be responsible for the daily supervision and efficiency of the team. Manage and provide overall direction and guidance to deliver on operational goals within assigned area and ensure timely and accurate completion of work with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure period-end close activities are performed according to agreed schedules and that accounting policies are in compliance with GAAP and stated company norms
  • Work closely with other Accounts Departments to understand business transactions and ensure they are processed and accounted for appropriately and accurately
  • Ensure process governance including reporting and analysis to key stakeholders communicate regularly to discuss operational issues, key metrics, CTQ s (internally &/or externally)
  • Review and analyze the team s output for appropriate accounting treatment, completeness, and accuracy-related to general accounting/reconciliation and reporting
  • Leading & managing Teams, which includes Goal settings, Mentoring of Individuals for success, Performance appraisals, 1-0-1 management, driving service delivery
  • Understand the SOX Regulations and ensure adherence by the teams at all times
  • Act as point of escalation to resolve to account and reporting related issues on time and ensure all queries are dealt with accurately and efficiently
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to systems or other processes to maximize the use of information system resources to develop comprehensive reporting models
  • Provide day to day management of the cross-functional team in assigning and monitoring deliverables and motivating and leading the teams to improve performance and work product
  • Working with different service providers and partners (IT, Application support, etc) to enable and deliver client service delivery
  • Develop the team through effective performance management and monthly appraisals
  • Lead and manage Client discussions including Service review management engagements, SLA s, and Growth plans
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodology, have shown results in driving automation, generating efficiency, or improving Client results
  • Transition and Toll gates management from End to end state
  • Drive and engage in the Transformation/ Robotics program with a complete understanding of the Transformation methodology, tollgates, and commercials model.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of Performance metrics, RCA s, and Dashboards.
  • Client negotiations and Client management skills are compulsory to have, this will include interaction with Management, Leadership, and executive-level required for partnership & collaboration.
  • Understanding of Finances/Budgets and commercials aligned to run operations.
  • SLA s/Contract management knowledge is required to run the commercial model as assigned to RTR or other process s

Qualifications we seek in youMinimum qualifications
  • Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, CHAE or equivalent) or MBA Finance with Accounting & Reporting as Core subject or area of expertise
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of accounting principles, systems, and procedures required to Lead books to closures (Like Sub ledger to General Ledgers, Control or Clearing accounts, Clearing or Reporting/Reconciling mismatches, Adjustments)
  • Audit handling & management (Statutory, Internal, and Group), handling deficiencies, and building/deploying remediations
  • Experience managing large-sized RTR Teams (Team of at least 50+) for a meaningful period
  • Excellent domain & hands-on expertise in Record to Report (Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Month End process, Reconciliations, Reporting, Tax)
Preferred qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), as required for client service operations in the BPO industry
  • Experience & Exposure to ERP (SAP HANA Preferred) & Legacy systems.
  • Exposure to Plant or Manufacturing accounting/recs and reporting as prevalent in Industry Handled a US Based client (Preferred) for RTR service delivery or with a strong and proven experience of handling a client with an international presence.
  • Understanding of consolidation applications (Hyperion, Navision, etc) as available in Industry
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of MS Office ( Excel, Power-point, etc)
  • Experience in handling RTR and Other Digital Tools (eg. Blackline, Trinitech, workflow, etc.)
