T&A Integration Engineer (Telco Cloud/Network & Service Orchestration)

Accountabilities
Cloud is very rapidly having an impact on most of the activities of the Network Infrastructure and
the IP Networking business has expanded its portfolio in datacenter networking and Virtualization.
In parallel, the datacenter IT industry continues to introduce new technologies for the management
standards and up to implementation of customer specific use cases and integration with 3rd party
systems (OSS, BSS, Security), you will be in the prime owner of building Orchestration products and
solutions, and datacenter network automation stacks.
As software engineer you will be an integral part of the TCTS development team working on
Orchestration products and solutions for management of the networking services and infrastructure.
You will lead the design of customer Telco Cloud orchestration solutions as they apply to automation
of network designs, taking the lead wherever possible and keeping a continuous alignment to the
overall product strategy. Beyond the BU borders, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with
solution and systems architects in other BU's - SDN/NFV, Project Management, Data Center.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Fully own and lead the developments of the components of Network & Service Orchestration
product portfolio and related solution.
Support in development of Telco cloud network solution standards with appropriate
documentation, templates, use cases and acceptance testing
Work with product management on ideation, roadmap definition, impact analysis, effort
solutions
Responsible for Design, Optimization & Performance Improvement of Infra & Cloud services
(Telco cloud / VNF / Openstack / Orchestration and Automation / Devops)
Expertise in Cloud Architecture (MANO), Automation, SDN Controller (Juniper Contrail,
Neutron) Telco cloud Automation & CI/CD design and deployment
Strong knowledge of API design such as NETCONF, RESTful API, XML APIs, JSON, TOSCA

Experience with Software Defined Networking (e.g., Contrail, Neutron) and virtualization
infrastructures (OpenStack, Kubernetes etc.), their APIs, scripting, modelling, and tools
Deep Knowledge & Hands on in OSS Solution Designing & Development around TMF, MEF
standards, TCP protocols, YANG/NETCONF, DCN, SDN/NFV Services etc
Design & Planning of Infra & Cloud Network (Telco cloud/VNF/Orchestration and
Automation / Devops) Preparing Design, HLDs & Architecture blueprint Release Guidelines
for Cloud, Deployment, Fine tuning & Optimization
Develop SDN/NFV architecture to support network evolution and future network
automation and programmability
Proven knowledge of Northbound interface APIs to interconnect Orchestrator with OSS/BSS
applications
Tata Communications - General
Proven knowledge of Southbound interface, Adapters to interface with Applications like
NMS/EMS, VNFM etc.
New Product solution finalization Release Guidelines & Decide solution for Infra & Cloud
Operations, Monitoring, Fault Mgmt, Config Mgmt, Performance & Reporting, KPIs Solution
finalization for Infra & Cloud Platforms such as VIM, Openstack , Microservices , VNFs ,
Hardware , MANO , Orchestrator , NMS / EMS Integration
Required Expertise in Telco Cloud, Openstack, Microservices & VNF/CNF design / solution /
Integration
Develop software and orchestration technology design and strategy for next generation
services

Qualifications
and Experience

Tata Communications - General
Travel on the Job: Yes (25% Domestic & International)
Bachelors in Communications / Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR related
technical degree OR Experience
4-8 years of Network Architecture, Design and/or Engineering experience with Telcos or
Tier1 / global System integrators
Experience in a large network deployment with focus on MANO, Devops, SDN/NFV
Exp in MANO supporting automation development with scripting experience in Python,
PHP and/or YAML/XML/YANG will be advantageous.
