Roles and Responsibilities

About the Role:
Position summary & Main tasks/activities (short and precise definition of the role

Procurement: Primary function is to provide business intelligence and reporting on purchasing
data and administrate purchasing process including, but not limited to
- Manage i-procurement process for Purchase Requests (PRs) and Pos (Purchase Orders)
- Manage vendors assuring diversification amongst vendors to adhere to CPUC initiatives
- Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) to analyze purchasing data and trends

Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead role in creating reports related to lifecycle of PRs including budgets, open POs, expensed
and paid status utilizing BI
Manage validation of Purchases Categorization and associated reporting
Create OPEX/CAPEX open PR report and provide supporting details to expedite review/approval
process daily
Review PRs from technical aspects (3-way matches, special characters and so on) and add
priorities when appropriate
Create and distribute Purchase Orders (PO) once PRs are approved
Create invoices on hold (IOH) report and distribute to the requisitioners
Create open PO report, review on a quarterly basis to assist on accruing and close them when
needed
Train iprocurement to new requisitioners and troubleshoot any issues related to iprocurement
Manage vendors in iprocurement system including credit applications
Take lead in adhering to CPUC guideline on vendor diversification

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with a degree in Business
Administration, Economics, or Finance preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in purchasing or relevant functions.

Ability to think critically and strong intellectual curiosity is a must
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple and varying projects/tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task in a highly fast-paced environment.
Must have the ability to regularly communicate in a manner that is respectful, professional and
collaborative
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Personal computer, including word-processing, database and spreadsheet programs; calculator,
telephone, copy and fax machine.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
