Shakti Agritech Farming and Livelihood (SAFAL), a development organisation working since 1980 for promotion of sustainable livelihoods. It’s headquartered at Bhopal Madhya Pradesh) and works with more than 60,000 rural house holds in 2 states 75 districts and 715 villages.
SAFAL was promoted by development professionals with a sole aim to work on Natural Resource Management and enhance farm based income.
SAFAL worked with SFAC for promotion and nurturing of 50 FPOs in 50 blocks of two states namely : MP and UP. We are Cluster based business organization (CBBOs) for promotion and development of FPOs, under the central sector scheme of 10000 FPOs promotion. Formation of producer groups and hence federating them in a producer company has been introduced as a key strategy for collective marketing of the produce. Under the project Farmer Producer Companies (FPC) have been constituted at Block/ District level with an aim to promote collective inputs procurement to benefit producers associated.
