Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Financial

Improve productivity and resource utilization to impact profitability

Operate with budgets with respect to stationary, travel, facilities and other administration related costs and prepare budget tracker to monitor the same

Collect, process and preserve vendor bills

  • Collect imprest cash for the concerned branch within limits as per stipulated authorization, make necessary imprest payments on time and account for it accurately as per process
  • Facilitate collection of brokerage booked and follow up of pending dues, if required
  • Facilitate timely payment of electricity, telephone, rent bills and other facilities and infrastructure
  • Business Process

    Supervise maintenance with respect to provision of water, electricity, air conditioners, telephone, fax, photocopiers, microwave and such other electrical and electronics appliances

  • Maintain all documents under a systematic filing system to facilitate immediate retrieval at all times
  • Maintain stock of stationary, cleaning agents and other miscellaneous supplies
  • Renew journal subscriptions and maintain journals in a library for reference of all concerned
  • Customer

    Generate appropriate MIS for senior management

    Ensure internal customers are provided with safe and clean premises

  • Assist CS&UW, BD and Claims teams in timely updation of SAIBA & KPTS on need basis
  • Assist CS&UW and BD teams in documentation, follow-up with insurance companies for issue of quotations and policies, preparation of transit insurance certificates, correspondence with clients for timely renewal of policies
  • Assist the BD and accounts teams in brokerage recovery and reconciliation on need basis
  • Generate renewal list every month for reference of the BD as well as CS&UW teams and assist in issuing renewal notice to clients
  • Accept renewal and premium cheques from clients and ensure deposition with respective life and general insurance companies
  • Assist in preparation of newsletter by contributing to content

    Perform necessary coordination for implementation of key people processes including performance appraisal, reward and recognition programmes, employee engagement initiatives like picnics, Diwali gift distribution and parties

    Perform necessary coordination for training and development initiatives

    Attend training programmes to upgrade skills

    Track attendance and punctuality at locations, collect leave forms and submit to HR for payroll processing

    Perform all such duties which are required to be performed by this position in an insurance broking house in general course and to perform all such duties and carry out all such responsibilities so delegated or asked to be performed by the Designated Authority from time to time
