Job Description
Senior Database Administrator (DBA)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize
our database systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MSSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, along
with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain database structures and schemas for MSSQL, MySQL, and
MongoDB.
Develop reusable, testable, and efficient stored procedures, triggers, functions, and jobs.
Ensure high availability and low latency for database operations.
Monitor and improve performance through query tuning and indexing.
Implement and maintain database security, including roles, permissions, and auditing.
Perform scheduled backups, restores, and plan disaster recovery strategies.
Collaborate with developers to optimize application performance and queries.
Provide database support for both production and development environments.
Assist with data modeling, migration, and system integrations.
Maintain accurate documentation for database architecture, processes, and procedures.
Generate reports and contribute to database-related insights.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in database management.
Requirements
Bachelors degree with minimum 6 years of DBA experience.
Strong knowledge of database design principles and best practices.
Proven skills in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Expertise in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Ability to create dynamic reports and visualizations.
Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database.
Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
Technical Skills
Databases: MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
Scripting & Tools: PowerShell, Bash, Python
Database Development: Stored procedures, stored functions, triggers, MSSQL Job Agent
Cloud Expertise: AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database
Data migration between various source / destination
